I sometimes wear the same t-shirt for a week without bothering to change it, so of course I don't know a damn thing about luxury. My home gym is nicer than a college weight room. Maybe that counts. But I agree with so much of what you say about bad writing. Do I really need to spoon feed the reader some lesson or takeaway that removes all subtlety and turns it into a bad sermon? Take whatever you want from my writing or nothing at all besides the feeling you get from reading it. I didn't write it for you anyway. Well, your writing certainly gave me a feeling. You managed to turn a hoe hum call for submissions into that orchid story, maybe better. I don't know since I've never read it. But now I'm going to go looking.
